The American Heart Association has a bold goal. We have a responsibility to ensure people around the world reach their full potential for a long and healthy life. Our greatest challenge: Nearly half of the United States adult population (48% to be exact) have some type of cardiovascular disease. That is roughly 121.5 million adults living in the United States.

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading global cause of death. Not only are cardiovascular diseases claiming more lives than all forms of cancer combined, but the primary precursors – such as high blood pressure, obesity, smoking and diabetes – are also on the rise.

For more than 60 years, The Phoenix Heart Ball has been raising vital funds to support the mission of the American Heart Association to ensure our research and community efforts continue to save lives.
